This policy constitutes an agreement between you and swapps and covers the privacy of your personal information when using Meposit service. It supplements the general terms of use.
You shall read and agree to the entire privacy policy before signing up for an account on Meposit.
Please note the following risks of using Meposit service:- Your account may be permanently closed, with your balance, if Meposit cannot verify your identity.
Meposit will notify you of changes to this policy via SMS. You will therefore need to connect to this page to be immediately informed about such changes.
Any change will be made unilaterally by swapps and you will be deemed to have accepted it after you have received notice of it.
If you disagree with any change, you must stop using Meposit and immediately start the process to close your account via email at contact@meposit.com or via post to P.O. Box 12 938, Yaounde, Cameroon.
About your personal information
- 1. To create a Meposit account, you should provide us your full name and your mobile phone number.
- 2. To secure your account, we request you to provide us a greeting phrase (any phrase of your choice) and to select no more than two secret questions (for example your place of birth).
- 3. In some cases, for example, if you want to deposit a large amount of money in your Meposit account, you may be required to provide proof of your identity (national identity card or passport).
- 4. We automatically store the IP address and other information relating to the identifier of the device you use to connect to Meposit in order to prevent cases of identity theft.
- 5. The personal information you provide to Meposit is only used to identify you and your Meposit account.
- 6. Meposit will not disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent and unless we are compelled to do so by law.
- 7. Meposit will not sell your personal information to third parties.
About changes to your personal information
- 1. You may change changeable personal information on your account at any time by connecting to your account’s interface.
- 2. Non-changeable personal information includes (1) the country and (2) the mobile phone number.
About our use of your personal information
- 1. The personal information that we collect is stored on our servers. It is only used to identify you or your account when necessary, for example when you make a deposit.
- 2. We commit to store and to process your personal information in compliance with information technology security standards.
- 3. Access to your personal information is strictly restricted to those of our employees who need it to deliver Meposit service.
- 4. We will never request the password of your Meposit account. You should be the only person who knows it and should report any such request to us immediately.
About closure of your account
- 1. Once your Meposit account is closed, the personal information associated with it is not deleted because it may, in the future, help prevent cases of fraud for example.
